Plateau is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Professional Services team. Location of the position is flexible (Arlington, VA or Boston preferred), and requires as much as 50% travel.

 

The Senior Project Manager has primary responsibility for managing full life cycle implementation projects (business requirements, needs analysis, solution design, development, QA, implementation and support) of the Plateau TMS software (Learning, Performance and Compensation Management).  Additionally, this person will have overall responsibility for managing the client relationship, scope of work to be performed, resource assignments and other client issues during the course of the implementation.  The Senior Project Manager will also be typically assigned to larger, complex implementations that require an additional level of skill and experience.

 

A typical implementation would involve the following responsibilities:

• Project team management and status (both internal and client)


• Project plan development and tracking


• Client and staff status meeting facilitation


• Functional and technical analysis and supervision


• Quality Assurance


• Issue and budget management

 

This person should possess strong written and oral communication skills as well as be able to manage multiple project assignments in parallel.  Additionally, this person should be willing to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

Other Senior Project Manager Duties Include:

• Development of Practice Management Standards and Tools


• Overseeing the scheduling/forecasting of resources


• Assisting in the development of other consultants

 

Required Qualifications:

• 8 years minimum software implementation project experience and/or project management experience


• Experience with and Knowledge of Talent Management preferred


• Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Degree Preferred


• PMP (Project Management Professional)


• Ability to pass US Government background investigation

• Skill in thoroughly carrying out, reviewing, and reporting on all aspects of the work


• Analytical and problem-solving skills


• Proven ability to handle customers, particularly large customers, effectively


• Strong customer service orientation


• Ability to deal with complex customer service issues
